He was a great Educator, Social Reformer and Author. In 17th century beginning during Bengal Ren\u00e9 assai he introduced simplified Bengali alphabets and types, which are still followed in Bengali script. He successfully fought for enactment of remarriage of Hindu widows against odd odds of made dominated upper cast Hindu Bramhin society.
